Yesterday Shawn and I watched volunteer fire fighters practice. Miss Konopacki was Shawn’s Kindergarten teacher and happened to own the house next door. The house was condemned and needed to be torn down, last week was the demolition. She’s also a volunteer fire fighter so it worked out nicely to have the rubble burned! Shawn spent the day watching and playing with all the neighborhood kids. When it was just smoldering one of the guys from the fire crew broke out the marshmallows and hot dogs! (They pulled a few logs over where the kids would be safe.) Missed that picture but here are some of the “big flames”, as Shawn calls them.
