What I did this summer...by Shawn

When mom and dad went on their big trip over the ocean I got to go to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Boise. I played with my cousins at their houses. I went to the Zoo, the library, and the park with the fish with Grandpa. I played at the park and Grandpa read me stories and let me watch cartoons.

After we were home in Utah again we went to Great Grandma Willis’ house by Bryce Canyon for a big family reunion. We played with the piñata and got lots of candy, we played silly games with our cousins and sang silly songs, we got to go out and feed the elk with daddy's cousin Ty, and watch movies outside on the side of Grandma Willis’ house.

After the reunion we went home and packed up our house because we moved to Sheridan Montana. We live with my cousins until our new house is built. Aunt Bobbie showed us all the fun stuff to do around here like visit ghost towns. One is in Bannack and it had really old houses, hotels and even a school. We also saw the old houses in Nevada City and Virginia City. My cousins showed me how fun it was to swim and play in the ditch.

When Grandma and Grandpa Head came to visit us we took them to Nevada City and Virginia City so that they could see the old houses and shops too. They really liked it and had a lot of fun seeing the new place that I live. We also took Grandma and Grandpa to Whitehall to show them Daddy’s new work, he teaches Spanish to the big kids. He has a really neat classroom.

At the end of summer I started Kindergarten! I get to ride the bus to school, except the first day mom had to take me. I told her no, I could ride the bus but she took me anyway. I was really excited to ride it home though. I get to ride it with my cousins, Ashlie and Morgan, and some of my friends from school. I get to go to school all day! I really like it especially recess when I get to play football and soccer with my friends. I really like gym too and music. I don’t like rest time so much, I never fall asleep but I’m quiet.
